Once you find the car you want, click Purchase on the vehicle details page to start placing an order.   Enter some information including where you will want the car delivered, choose the right AllCars Protection Plan for you, and make a refundable $100 deposit on a debit or credit card. 

The vehicle will be held for you after a successful deposit.

Yes! We help you save because we have a trusted network of lending partners that offer competitive rates.  We will make sure you get the best rate available.

The application process takes place online when you know the amount you wish to finance.  Take a few minutes to fill out our application form. We will call you with your terms.  

In addition to financing with us, AllCars accepts the following:

  • $100 in total in credit/debit card payments for your deposit.
  • AcH bank drafts for payment of your vehicle online.  You may need to notify your bank in advance to ensure they allow the transaction.
  • If you’re selling a vehicle to us that has negative equity, our AllCars Finance Manager will accept payment by debit card or wire transfer.

The deposit puts a hold on your vehicle so no one else can purchase it.  After you upload a copy of the front and back of your drivers license and any other key documents required, we will send you a contract to e-sign and return within 2 business days to keep the hold on your vehicle.  If the hold expires, your deposit will be refunded.

We will not sell you a car that we wouldn’t sell to someone in our own family. We mean this.

Our experts check over 130 vehicle inspection points and if needed, fixes the vehicle, before your vehicle is delivered to you.  Each vehicle needs to be in good condition or we will not sell it.

We believe in full transparency into the history of our vehicles including if there is an open safety recall. On the car detail page we show some of the vehicle history and provide a way for you to get a complete report for a vehicle.

Our Concierges are available to help with questions and decisions.

Because our pricing is data based driven based on AllCars True Values, we do not inflate prices with the anticipation of negotiation like traditional dealerships.  This means everyone receive the same fair price for every vehicle listed on our site.  Our Value Meter on the car detail page shows you this value.

First, search and select your next vehicle! On that vehicle’s detail page, select the purchase button.  Answer a few questions before making a $100 deposit to hold the car for you.  The information collected includes:

  • Personal information – legal name and address, telephone number, and delivery address.

  • Trade-In information – whether or not you wish to trade in a vehicle and the estimated trade-in value.  This can be done in advance of requesting an offer on your vehicle.

  • Financing Option selection – finance with AllCars, third-party financing or you do not need financing.  You do not have to have the application completed at this time.

  • Protection Plans –  offer varying degrees of affordable protection plans based on your needs.  Before making your deposit, select the one that is right for you.  Plan now to avoid expensive repairs.

After reviewing the information, select place order and you will then be able to make a $100 credit or debit card deposit to hold the vehicle.  You will then be taken to My Account-Buy where you will be able to uploads needed documents.

We will contact you to arrange delivery right to you. Then you will have a full eight days or 250 miles, whichever comes first, to return the car or truck if it ends up not working out for whatever reason.

Yes, financing is available.  There are three ways to pay for your vehicle:

  1. Finance through AllCars.  We have trusted partners who offer low rates and our application process is easy.  The majority of customers prefer to finance through us.
  2. Finance with your own bank.  You will need an existing approval. If you choose to finance outside of AllCars, you may need to take extra steps, such as visiting a bank branch to sign the loan document and obtain additional documents (e.g. a pre-approval letter).
  3. Pay for your vehicle in full.  The funds will need to be transferred directly from your bank account via a secure ACH bank transfer.

Note that if you have a trade-in, AllCars will apply the amount towards the payment of your next vehicle after the paperwork is complete.

Sell or Trade-In Your Vehicle

You can sell or trade-in your vehicle entirely online.

How Selling Your Vehicle Works:

1. Start by getting your free appraisal by visiting Sell Your Car. We’ll ask for your vehicle’s VIN, mileage, and any extra features, then send you an offer.

2. If you accept our offer, we’ll provide you with the necessary paperwork to complete the transaction. All of this is still done from the comfort of your home.

3. Upon receiving your paperwork we will send out a third-party inspector to verify the condition of the vehicle.

4. Once inspected and we get the green light to purchase the vehicle, we will e-mail or fax an overnight label with a tracking number to send us a properly signed and notarized title (if applicable in your state).

5. We will then ask you for your routing and account number so we can ACH payment directly to your bank account. If you prefer to have a certified bank check, we can overnight it to you. You will keep possession of your vehicle and keys until the money is in your account.

The trade-in value you receive from AllCars is valid for 10 days. The appraisal will not change as long as the information you entered was accurate.

We hang onto your trade during your eight (8) days or 250 miles (whichever comes first) test period of the vehicle we delivered to you for this very reason! If you return your AllCars vehicle and had traded in a car to us, we will return your trade-in to you.

Please note we only keep your trade-in vehicle during your test period. If you opt to swap into a different AllCars vehicle, we do not keep your trade-in vehicle past the initial 8 days.

When selling your vehicle to AllCars or trading it in, you will be asked to provide pictures of the current odometer reading from your dashboard and driver’s licenses of the individuals listed on the title or registration. Other supporting documentation depends on whether you own the vehicle outright or have a lien on the car.

If you own the vehicle outright, we will need a picture of the front and back of your trade-in vehicle’s title. Could you be sure to include all four corners of the document in your pictures? Please keep in mind if anyone else than you is listed on the title, they will need to be present at the time of delivery.

If you have a lien on your vehicle, we will also need the following:

  1. Picture of your vehicle’s 10-day payoff statement.
  2. Picture of the registration card.

*If your vehicle has negative equity, we will also need a picture of the front and back of a certified check for the amount of negative equity. Please speak with one of our Concierges before getting this check so we can tell you the exact amount owed.

Negative equity is when you owe more on your current loan than the car is worth based on our offer.

Once we receive the title and paperwork, we will arrange payment before we pick up your vehicle. We can overnight the check to you or electronically transfer the funds to your bank account – whatever you prefer.

Trade-in vehicles with current liens will be paid off once the sale is completed and after your eight (8) day or 250 miles (whichever comes first) test period. 

If you choose to swap vehicles, we will wait to pay off your trade until the end of your second eight (8) day or 250 miles (whichever comes first) test period.

If you have a payment due within your 8 day test period, please make the payment as scheduled and your current lien holder will reimburse you for the over payment once the vehicle is successfully paid.

A car appraisal assigns an estimated value to a vehicle.  Your valuation can be helpful when you plan to buy, sell, or are trading in a car and wish to know its fair market value.  It is beneficial to put a dollar amount on a vehicle considered an asset or if you are planning to buy or sell a collectible car.

Many things can affect the value of your vehicle, including the make and model, age, mileage, vehicle options, and its condition.  Your car may have a higher value in a different location, like real estate.

Some people take appraisals to more than one dealer when negotiating.  It is sometimes useful when applying for financing.

List Your Vehicle For Free

You can list and sell your vehicle entirely online and receive your asking price.  After it sells, have it safely picked up contact-free.  We handle the paperwork for you!

How Selling Your Vehicle Works

1. Start by completing the Sell Form. It will ask you if you want to “List Your Vehicle” after we obtain some information.  We will need your vehicle’s VIN or your license plate, mileage, extra features, interior and exterior colors, and a little more information about your vehicle.

2. Shortly after you select “List Your Vehicle”, you will be asked to enter your asking price.
The minimum asking price on our site is $4,000.

3. Next you’ll need to take 8 to 16 good photos of your vehicle, a minimum of 4 of the exterior and 4 of the interior.  

That’s it!  We’ll review the photos then your listing goes up on our site, usually within a few hours of uploading your photos.

To put it simply – We don’t. We love the car community, and we enjoy connecting buyers and sellers! We will never charge a dime to list your vehicle on allcars.com!

Go to your My Account, Sell tab and select “Remove Listing”.

Most vehicles sell pretty quickly.  Your listing will be on the site until it sells or 30 days have passed.

You will work directly with the buyer. Typically buyers will either overnight a check or electronically transfer funds to you. Our concierges will also step in and assist if there is a bump in the road.

Listings usually go up on the site within a few hours but no more than 24 hours if the uploaded photos are good.

If you don’t upload them at the time you list your vehicle, you would to your My Account and select the Sell tab, then select upload files.   This will appear if you have submitted a listing where the option to upload later was selected.  There is also an option to remove your listing here.

The minimum asking price is $4000, and the maximum age for your vehicle would be10 years.

If your vehicle is not selling, you may call us to lower the listing price or ask for our ideas on why it might not be selling.  Most vehicles sell quickly if the price reflects the vehicle’s value, and the vehicle and photos are both good.

After 30 days, the listing goes away.  You are free to start the process over with a new listing.

Vehicles listed by private sellers do not qualify for our AllCars 8 day test drive and 150 point inspection.   

We suggest that buyers order their own pre-purchase inspection before buying a vehicle from someone they do not know.

Financing with AllCars

Your interest rate is based on your credit score, monthly income, loan amount, and down payment amount for our auto loans.

AllCars offers auto loans for those with good, minimal and poor credit histories.  As long as you are 18 or older, make at least $5,000 per year, and have no active bankruptcies.

Yes you can! When you are going through the purchase process on our website you will see this as an option for financing auto loans. Simply provide us the name of the bank, amount of your loan, and our concierge will take it from there.

Yes, as long as you are 18 or older and earn at least $5,000 a year and have no active bankruptcies.  AllCars has auto loans for people with good, bad and no credit.

For auto loans at AllCars, we run a simple credit inquiry to view your credit and determine the best possible lenders to work with you. The inquiry will, for most people, make an impact on their credit.

Terms on our loans are good for 45 days from the date you received them. If they expire, or your information changes, you can request new terms by completing another application.

Terms on auto loans are based on your credit history, your individual income, and the price of the vehicle you’re looking at. Since vehicle price is taken into consideration, your terms will vary depending on the vehicle you choose.

Delivery

AllCars delivery fee varies from free to a maximum of $1,000 within the contiguous 48 states. The cost of delivery may be included in financing.

Yes, the delivery fee is refundable if you decide to exchange or return your vehicle.

No, it is not possible for you to pick up your vehicle.   We do not offer this option in order to keep our operating costs lower so that we can pass the savings onto our customers.

Once the signed contract and funds are received, we schedule your delivery and email you an estimated date of delivery. If you have any circumstances that would interfere with the delivery, please phone us at (585) 673-9093 . 

Please notify our support team by phoning us at (585) 673-9093 as soon as possible.  We will work with you to find a new date and time that works for you.

Here’s what to do when your vehicle arrives:

  1. Inspect the vehicle before signing the paperwork. If you find any issues, please call us right away at (585) 673-9093.

  2. The temporary registration tags will already be on the vehicle.  The tags allow you to drive the vehicle legally.  Check to confirm the tags are in place.

  3. If you are trading in a vehicle, please be sure to grab all of your belongings out of the vehicle before we pick it up.  We cannot guarantee you will be able to obtain belongings after the pickup.

  4. Check that you have your vehicle covered by insurance. When you contact your insurance company to get the vehicle covered, you will be asked for the vehicle’s 17-digit VIN number, mileage, and price.

  5. Get in your new ride and take it for a spin!

Recalls

A safety recall occurs when an auto manufacturer or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) determines that a vehicle, or part of a vehicle, creates an unreasonable safety risk or fails to meet minimum safety standards. To find out more, we encourage you to visit the NHTSA website.

Yes. Some recalls involve non-safety-related defects. Examples of non-safety-related defects may include a vehicle’s paint quality, cosmetic blemishes, or a radio that does not work properly. Manufacturers may handle non-safety-related defects through recalls, technical service bulletins, special coverage programs, or customer-satisfaction campaigns.

One way to check the recall status of a vehicle, is it go to https://nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter the vehicle’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).  The VIN number is displayed on the car detail page for each vehicle on the CarZoom site.

Also on our car detail page is a link to obtain a full auto history report for that VIN from Autocheck.

Recall and safety information may also be available on some manufacturers’ websites.

Manufacturers have not authorized independent dealers, like AllCars, to repair and close out open safety recalls.  It is possible we will have some vehicles on our website that have safety recalls that have not been fixed.

If you decide to purchase a vehicle with an open safety recall, we encourage you to  contact a manufacturer-authorized facility to have the recall fixed for free.

We encourages you to perform additional research on the recall before your decision to purchase the vehicle. After you own the vehicle, we recommend that you contact a manufacturer-authorized facility immediately, which is required to fix the open safety recall at no cost to you.

There are a few ways to stay informed of any future recalls for your vehicle:

  1.  Manufacturers use state vehicle registration data when issuing safety recall notices. Your vehicle registration will need to be up-to-date.

  2. Register your vehicle with the manufacturer as soon as you own the vehicle. That way you will receive important safety information directly from the manufacturer, including open safety recalls.

  3. Sign up to receive email notifications from NHTSA to alert you on recalls for your vehicle make and model (not VIN number), or download its apps for iPhone or Android to have the alerts sent to your phone. 

Returns

You have 8 days (or 250 miles, whichever comes first) to get to know your new vehicle from AllCars.

If you decide it is not right for you, we will help you exchange it for another vehicle or provide a refund.  We will pick it up for free and refund a delivery fee if one was charged.
